Angela joined Ellern Mede School in November 2013 where she teaches French Language for all stages and education level. She has a long and varied career in teaching. She obtained a Teaching Certificate in 1972, spent a year working and studying in Switzerland and Paris then completed an Honours Degree in French at Sheffield University. Her teaching has included 11 years working in an academic Grammar School – Camden School for Girls, where she became a Head of Department. She has taught French at Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Adult Education levels, with student ages ranging from 3 to 86. She has taught students to GCSE, A-level and S-level and has also some experience in Special Needs Education.
Since joining Ellern Mede Angela has diversified into teaching various practical subjects including Textiles, Calligraphy etc. and encourages students to embark on a variety of projects on Friday afternoons. Angie loves her current role at Ellern Mede as she is able to draw upon her wide-ranging experience and skills when working with children with highly complex needs.
