Eating Disorders Awareness Week means the Media cover a lot of personal experience stories about these often hidden and misunderstood conditions. The next Eating Disorder Awareness Week falls earlier than usual, from Sunday 6th to Saturday 12th February 2022. World Book Day is on Thursday 3 March 2022. This is an annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and reading is one of our favourite days of the year. Keep in touch with educational resources, book tokens and more at World Book Day’s website: World Book Day

A new event, co-ordinated by the charity, Place2be, is Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week which takes place in the UK Monday 7th to Sunday 13th February 2022.

Something that has long been hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, is Mental Health Awareness Week which is expected to take place from Monday 9 to Sunday15 May 2022. The theme last year was nature and the year before it was the importance of getting good sleep. The theme for 2022 has not yet been announced, but a link to the usual information page is: here.

Learn about what the world is doing to promote cultural diversity, tolerance, mutual respect and peace by reading about the World Day for Cultural Diversity (for Dialogue and Development)  which is celebrated by the United Nations and other organisations around the world, on Saturday 21 May 2022.

You might also be interested in setting educational projects around Black History Month which is celebrated throughout the month of October in the UK, from 1st to 31st October 2022. It does focus on a particular theme each year. The theme for 2022 is Black Health and Wellness. Here are some good links to read about this, although you may have to wait until closer to the time to see the latest plans.
